Our Business

PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia (TGI), hereinafter referred to as “TGI” was established in 2002 as a joint venture between PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk, Transasia Pipeline Pvt. Ltd (“Transasia”) and the PGN Employee Welfare and Retirement Foundation (“YKPP PGN”) with a proportion of shares of 59.87%, 40% and 0.13%, respectively.

As the owner and operator of natural gas pipelines in Indonesia with a total pipeline network of more than 1,000 km, TGI runs a business with a focus on natural gas transportation for the domestic market, namely Sumatra and Batam, as well as for international markets, such as Singapore.

For the sake of consistency in providing the best values, TGI establishes a business philosophy "Connecting Energy for Synergy". The word "Connecting" represents the good relations that are created and maintained by the existence of gas pipeline transportation as well as in interpersonal relationships. The word "Energy" represents natural resources, mental and spiritual strength. While the word "Synergy" represents TGI's belief as an entity to continue to grow in a sustainable manner through positive synergies.

TGI has proven a strong reputation through reliable services in the business journey for 2 decades. TGI's experience is supported by human resource assets with world-class capabilities and professionalism, which drive TGI to improve its performance from year to year. TGI's success in repairing the 28-inch offshore pipeline without stopping gas supply to Singapore is proof of TGI's reliability and quality of work in providing the best service. This success is also proof of TGI's high commitment to stakeholders, namely Indonesia and Singapore, which are highly dependent on gas pipelines as the main source of gas supply.

Blue gaseous flames that form the letters T, G and I or TGI (short for Transportasi Gas Indonesia) have a dynamic, innovative meaning as well as a pure core of fire that never goes out.

The green circle, can be interpreted as a globe whose environment is maintained and is a form of concern and is determined to preserve a clean environment by channeling environmentally friendly energy with a reliable pipeline transportation system.

Transgasindo can also be mentioned by its abbreviation TGI, there is no difference between the two.
