PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia (TGI), in collaboration with Rumah Sosial Kutub, recently celebrated the first premium melon harvest at SMK 63 Jakarta. This milestone marks a successful three-year journey for a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program dedicated to empowering the next generation of agricultural leaders through modern, sustainable farming.
The initiative focuses on bridging the gap between youth potential and environmental stewardship. By integrating advanced farming techniques with a community-driven approach, the program aims to redefine the future of the agricultural sector in Indonesia.
"This program is extraordinary. We are merging the energy of our youth, our greatest future asset with environmental solutions through modern agriculture," stated Suhito, President Director of Rumah Sosial Kutub.
Supporting this sentiment, Emil Ismail, Corporate Secretary of TGI, emphasized the long-term impact on vocational students. He noted that the collaboration provides a vital platform for students to gain hands-on experience in a high-value industry, ultimately benefiting the nation at large.
The program is built upon three strategic pillars, Quality Food Production, Energy Efficiency and Environmental Sustainability.
This successful harvest is a testament to TGI’s commitment to fostering a generation of "Millennial Farmers" who are tech-savvy, environmentally conscious, and ready to lead the future of Indonesian food security.
