PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia (TGI) held a Socialization of the Security Management System (SMP) for National Vital Objects in the ESDM Sector on Monday, July 6, 2026, at the TGI Regional Office 3 Pekanbaru. This important event featured an expert speaker, Police Grand Commissioner (Kombes Pol) Suherman Zain, S.H., M.H., who delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Security Management System. In his presentation, he emphasized that the understanding of Obvitnas security has evolved significantly and requires rapid revitalization and adaptation. Security provided by the Indonesian National Police (Polri) is no longer confined to physical guarding alone, but now encompasses limited law enforcement, technical guidance, as well as systematic and comprehensive auditing processes conducted by certified auditors.
For TGI, fulfilling regulatory compliance is a strategic necessity to manage corporate security risks, prevent operational losses, and clarify the structure of security responsibilities within the internal organization.
The interactive event at Regional Office 3 Pekanbaru concluded with a productive discussion and Q&A session. Through this socialization, TGI management hopes that all employees, particularly the security and operational teams in the regional areas, can enhance the quality of security. A strong synergy between the Government, the Indonesian National Police, and TGI as an energy industry operator remains the key to maintaining national stability and ensuring the nation's energy supply continues to flow safely and sustainably
