PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia (TGI) has successfully conducted a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in the form of Barista Training for local communities living along the Right of Way (ROW) area in Pelalawan Regency, Riau. The three-day training received enthusiastic participation and delivered positive outcomes for all attendees.

The program was designed to enhance the skills and capacity of local residents, particularly in coffee-making and coffee shop business management. Through this initiative, participants are expected to gain new economic opportunities and strengthen their entrepreneurial spirit.

Throughout the training, participants received comprehensive lessons covering coffee knowledge, proper brewing techniques, and the use of professional barista equipment. In addition, the program also included sessions on small-scale coffee shop management—such as maintaining product quality, delivering excellent customer service, and implementing effective marketing strategies.

Experienced instructors were involved to ensure hands-on learning, supported by adequate facilities that allowed participants to directly practice what they learned. The training not only broadened participants’ knowledge but also built their confidence to start and manage their own coffee businesses.

As part of its sustainability commitment, TGI continues to provide post-training mentoring and monitoring to help participants apply their new skills effectively and contribute to improving the welfare of their communities.

Through this barista training program, TGI reaffirms its dedication to delivering meaningful social impact by supporting local economic growth and promoting inclusive and sustainable development in the Pelalawan area.
