PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia (TGI) has distributed humanitarian aid to communities affected by natural disasters across the Sumatra region. This initiative reflects the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment to supporting community recovery during emergency periods.
The aid distribution was conducted in two primary phases. The first phase took place at MAN 1 Langkat, Tanjung Pura District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, on Thursday, December 11, 2025. This was followed by a second distribution in the Lubuk Minturun and Koto Panjang Ikua Koto areas, Koto Tangah District, Padang City, West Sumatra, on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
TGI Corporate Secretary, Emil Ismail, stated that TGI’s presence among the community aims to alleviate the burden on residents facing infrastructural damage and disruptions to social activities caused by the disasters.
"We hope this assistance can ease the burden of our brothers and sisters affected by these disasters. In times like these, togetherness and compassion are our primary strengths in rebuilding," said Emil.
The aid provided by TGI covers urgent needs tailored to field conditions, including Essential food supplies (staples), Maternal and child necessities, Baby supplies and nutrition, Medicine and medical support equipment.
In executing the distribution, TGI coordinated with various stakeholders, volunteers, and relevant authorities. This collaboration was established to ensure that all aid is accurately targeted and can be utilized immediately by those in need.
Beyond providing emergency relief, TGI remains committed to monitoring the situation in affected areas. The company is exploring opportunities for further support, particularly regarding the social and economic recovery of the community post-disaster.
