PT TGI Regional Office 4 Batam received a working visit from BPH Migas (the downstream oil and gas regulatory agency), attended by the Head of BPH Migas / Chair of the BPH Migas Committee, Ibu Erika Retnowati, together with the Members of the BPH Migas Committee, namely Bapak Abdul Halim, Bapak Eman Salman Arief, Bapak Harya Adityawarman, Bapak Iwan Prasetya Adhi, Bapak Saleh Abdurrahman and Bapak Yapit Sapta Putra, as well as the Director of Natural Gas of BPH Migas, Ibu Soerjaningsih. The working visit was intended to improve coordination and to build a good relationship between BPH Migas and TGI as a business entity operating in the downstream oil and gas sub-sector.
At the meeting, Ibu Erika Retnowati commended TGI's compliance in submitting its reports to BPH Migas in an orderly manner every month. In addition, Bapak Wahyudi Anas explained that coordination between BPH Migas and TGI needs to be continued in order to support the development of the country's downstream oil and gas industry, in particular natural gas transported by pipeline.
TGI, represented by its President Director, Bapak AAP Bagus Putra, and its Business Development Director, Bapak Kemal Rachmaputra, stated that TGI, whose core business is the delivery of natural gas through transmission pipelines, has been able to meet its commitments to Shippers by delivering 562 MMSCFD of natural gas in 2023, consisting of 291 MMSCFD on the Grissik-Duri pipeline and 271MMSCFD on the Grissik-Batam-Singapore pipeline.
In his remarks, Bapak AAP Bagus Putra expressed his appreciation to BPH Migas for its support and guidance, so that the business of transporting gas by pipeline can be run optimally. On that occasion it was also stated that, in line with TGI's long-term plan to maintain business continuity, TGI intends to diversify its business by entering into Green Energy initiatives. “TGI is currently carrying out a feasibility study on the use of bio-methane and hydrogen, covering their production and transportation, to support the government's programme of achieving Net Zero Emission in 2060”, he said.
