MRU Project Starts

Construction of the Mercury Removal Unit (MRU) on Pulau Pemping has officially begun, marked by a Project Starts ceremony on (6 June 2023) at Pulau Pemping – Batam. The solemn event was attended by the Board of Commissioners of PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia (TGI), the Board of Directors of TGI, TGI stakeholder staff and invited guests.

The ceremony was marked by the symbolic cementing of benchmark BM-01 of the MRU project by the Board of Directors of TGI, witnessed by the Board of Commissioners of TGI and invited guests. On this occasion a donation was also made to a place of worship on Pulau Pemping. The symbolic handover was made by the President Director of TGI, Bpk. A.A.P. Bagus Putra, to Bpk. Khairul, imam of the Pulau Pemping mosque and representative of the beneficiary community.

In his remarks, the President Commissioner of TGI, Bpk. Redy Ferryanto, congratulated us all on this important moment, and expressed the hope that the project would be completed on the target date set and would bring lasting benefits to us all.
