PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia Regional Office 2 Belilas has held coffee barista training for jobseekers (pencari kerja, Pencaker) in order to create business opportunities.
This coffee barista training was held over three days, from 18 to 20 December 2024, at the offices of PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia Regional Office 2 Belilas, with a speaker from Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis (ITB) Indragiri.
"The training participants are residents living around PT TGI Regional Office 2 Belilas, and it is hoped that they will later be able to start businesses in order to improve the economy," said Zaijuli (Operation Support Supervisor) on Wednesday (18/12/2024) at midday.
The Manager of Regional Office 2 of PT. Transportasi Gas Indonesia, Wendi Sumapraja, said that the coffee barista training and certification was attended by 12 people, including 2 people with disabilities.
This activity forms part of the Corporate Social Responsibility programme of PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia, in collaboration with the Dinas Tenaga Kerja (Disnaker, the manpower office) of Kabupaten Inhu, to advance community enterprise, particularly among young people.
In addition to running training and skills activities, TGI also provided capital assistance from the CSR programme in the form of coffee barista equipment to each participant to help their businesses.
Through this training and the provision of capital assistance in the form of coffee barista equipment, TGI has made a real contribution to improving the skills and employment opportunities of young people, particularly those with disabilities. This demonstrates TGI's commitment to carrying out its corporate social responsibility and building positive synergy with the surrounding community
